iconoclast - Isn't there already an Alzheimer's /dementia trial planned and approved by the FDA? Come to think of it there is a kidney trial planned and approved as well. 

It wouldn't surprise me if RVX planned and filed these future trials so that an acquisitor could save valuable time in expanding the potential uses of apabetalone after their initial use application was approved.

That expanded use time value could be in the billions of dollars per month if both dementia and CKD results work out in our favor in this BETonMACE trial.
