BDA - I am impressed with how consistently fair and even keeled your commentary is. For that, I admire you. Keep up the great work!

At the time of that post, I was under the impression that topline readout would occur as early July and as late as mid August. That was based on the initial forecast provided by the company. Back in April, the company intimated that they had adjucated more than 90% of MACE events. However based on the Jul 8th PR, the company seems inclined on accruing as many MACE events above and beyond the 250 reached back in April 2019. It's my undertanding that has to do with statiscal powering. That does not change the fact that the forecast changed by about a month. Any comparison to the timeline for closing out the REDUCE-IT trial would not be adequate. Amarin nailed their forecast from the get go... by end of q3 2018.

When you add to the above the cash raise in June that will not be sufficient to take the company through TLR. The company said in the June prospectus that whatever money they raise when combined with existing cash would only last through July 31. Now, we have to anticipate another cash raise yet again? If yes, will they be smart enough to raise enough money to get through TLR...whenever that will be? The other question is, will Management put its own money in the cash raise? You would think they would do that to show how confident they are about the propects of the trial.

Based on all the above, I had to take a step back and ask myself whether there is a good basis to trust Management judgement as to whether they got the design of the trial right in the first place. If they can't come up with reliable forecast, is it adequate to trust them with getting the design of the trial right? I am not in the business of investing in a company then hoping for the best. As new and relevant information comes along, I make an effort to reassess the appropriateness of my investment in a given company.

I hope all the above provides additional context about my initial post from yesterday.
