Re: Just a thought - Should we really be expecting maximum exposure for BETonMACE results?

"I know a lot of time and effort has gone into trying to determine when/where announcments on Top-Line and full data sets might be released....and typically its been centred on trying to determine when would be best in order to get max exposure..."
As keeper of the potential events list, watcher of the conference abstracts and frequent predictor of top-line timing and full data presentation, I feel this comment was partly directed at me. Top-line data will come when it is ready, likely as a news release independent of any major scientific conference. Resverlogix has done an excellent job in their April 18th and June 12th news releases to estimate the timing of top-line data. Yes, they were off the mark with their estimates last year but now we are zeroed in. Another company update on estimated timing for top-line is expected any day now once final patient safety follow ups conclude. It doesn't sound like they are hiding information at all and are being very transparent.
As for exposure for full data presentation.......the timing of trial wrap up and top-line data availability dictates the choice of conference for full data presentation. These conference schedules are set far in advance. So it won't be until the company has clarity on top-line availability that they can project which major scientific conference they will be ready to present full data. There are only a limited number of cardio/diabetes conferences each year. So right now it appears that American Heart Association in November is the next candidate for full data. AHA is over four months away, so it is completely normal to not hear anything yet about it. There was a small chance that the timing would work out for ESC or EASD, but now that those schedules are out it is clear that BETonMACE full data won't be presented there. Resverlogix has been extremely active at scientific conferences in the past year promoting BETonMACE. They have had exposure. Why the media, biotwitter, analysts etc haven't been more active is a great question. But based on Resverlogix's active presentations and publications, I don't think it is fair to out the blame on Resverlogix for the exposure wave not spreading more.
