This is the image I put up on StockTwits...only just figured out how to do it here. I genuinely think there is substantial buyside interest, no matter how small the bid looks....iceberg orders do happen but those behind them don't announce they're using them, it would defeat the purpose.
With short interest barely budging I take it to have two meanings....
Firstly imo it says that larger players are either unwilling or unable to add to the existing short position. We all recall what happened in the summer with the delivery failures that triggered the force buy-ins....shorts were squeezed.
Secondly it tells me that it may very well be the case that there really aren't many shares available to be bought....large blocks on the ask could be a bluff. No way to know for certain though, if someone puts up 100 blocks on the ask as a bluff they're not going to announce.
I think its just a matter of the lid being truned just enough.....
