The way I figure things the deck is stacked heavily against individual investors...when I talk about 'the market machine' or a similar such term, I picture industry players working in concert, honour amongst thieves if you will.
Take for example that Blanco pump piece and subsequent write up on StockGumshoe. I lump these outfits into the same category as other industry types.
When a big player wants to dump shares and needs to stir up interest the way I see it happening is like this: 1) A broker is hired to do the dumping, perhaps more than one. 2) The seller himself, and quite possibly his broker(s) as well will perhaps either tip off a Blanco type writer imo, that or maybe engage their services.
What I'm seriously thinking is that perhaps this Blanco guy was engaged or had it suggested to do a write up on Resverlogix....not to pump n dump though, but perhaps to give off the impression that a pump and dump was happening.
Call it a head fake.
