I'd sent them a couple emails, sarcastically congratulating them on being proactive, timely and transparent as possible with respect to setting an expectation on financing and then failing to deliver on it.  Here is the answer I received:

Of course we all know what "expect" means, and "near term" is also equally fuzzy (no not you fuzzy)....however at least its something.
