Why so quiet lately? It wasn't always like this...

Just doing a little look back...it seems in April of 2007 the company did a broadcast to update shareholders and others, providing an overview....damn something similar would be nice now.
There was another one a few months later, in July of that same year:
There used to be PRs about upcoming presentations, both scientific and investor related...
Moving to 2008 there were actual updates on trials, albeit in Phase 1:
May 8 of 2008....anotehr live teleconference update, I can't link so here's the starting text:
CALGARY, May 1 /CNW/ - Resverlogix Corp. ("Resverlogix") (TSX:RVX) is pleased to announce that it will host a live teleconference on May 8, 2008 at 9:00 am MDT to provide a year-end update on both the science and the business aspects of the Company. Following the presentation there will be a live question and answer session.
So what's the difference between now and then? Why was Resverlogix so communicative and seemingly more open to putting itself in front of shareholders back in 2007/2008 when it was in the early stages than it is now?
How much do these Bio Investor conferences cost? Travel, accomodations, meals, sundries....it can't be cheap. Why not do another teleconference like back in the day before Hepalink showed up and started buying up millions of shares at super cheap prices....while those who took in these updates, if they wanted to buy had to pay $8, $12, $20+ back in 2007/2008.
