Message: Why news has to come out Thursday imo....walking in the enemy's shoes

I was just having a long winded conversation with my wife...all is good, we're up on RVX by a good margin...and she'll often say something like:  "it  doesn't seem to be doing much lately".  Today she remarked how she saw an on-line article from the G&M about 10 stocks that are worthwhile investments....I'd already seen the headline, but didn't bother with the article.  I saw this as a teaching moment....

I'm a contrarian...and I firmly believe that the market machine is designed to take my money.  To convince me that myself and the rest of the sheep, that we're heading for the Playboy Mansion and riches when in point of fact the market is steering us toward the sheering house to take all our wool....Granville taught me well.

Granviille's book talked about fundamental data being more than just financials...according to Joe it included all publicly available information, financials and everything else.  BOD profiles, insider buying/selling histories, earnings, revenues, product pipelines...analyst opinions, everything.

He said there was no sure fire way to accurately forecast what a stock would do based on this information because its all old information....old and already priced in to the current valuation.  His view was that technical measures were the way to try and discern what is coming....

But the market maching loves fundamental data....all that currently and publicly available information.  And market pros will use all that data to try and paint a bullish picture on the stocks they want the sheep buying....to make it seem like a no-brainer decision.  But obviously if the sheep are buying, then someone else must be selling....hence a contrarian tries to figure out which way the sheep are being herded, and goes in the opposite direction.

What does this have to do with Resverlogix?  A lot in my opinion.  Are the sheep being herded in and encouraged to hand their money over?  Anything but, there hasn't been a single presser put out in over a month.....I have little doubt they could put out a PR, an update on where things stand with respect to the loan, the trial, financing efforts being undertaken....but all we get is crickets.

I don't have a problem with it, it is what it is....its the way the market operates.  If there were major shareholders who were wanting to trade their shares at the highest possible prices I  have no doubt that generating interest in Resverlogix by hyping Apabetalone would be in full swing....much the same way Ziopharm's Sleeping Beauty was touted long and loud a few years back when that stock soared to ~$15 per share.

I just want the company to play fair and by the rules....if they put out information, make sure its accurate....represent their shareholders, even if bigger players might not like it.  They don't have to engage in promotion of course....I was glad in a way that Paul didn't pursue the proposal I forwarded about that Florida Biz of America broadcaster....if he'd pursued it I would have been happy to engage in some selling during the promotion, but the fact the company doesn't want to pursue it says to me I need not be worried.

Anyway a long unweildy post with no real point....
