DM communicated at the AGM that there would be a statistical penalty for performing the SSRA. That penalty, combined with the fact that adding more patients would extend the trial timeline, are the primary reasons given for foregoing the SSRA. Recall that patients have to be in trial for minimum of 6 months. The language in the Third Eye contract only buys them more time to provide top-line data if they indeed enroll more patients......not just performing the SSRA without enrolling more patients.
