There are ALWAYS voluntary patient discontinuations in clinical trials; both placebo group and test drug group. The key is that one doesn't want patient discontinuations to be greater in the test drug group than the placebo group. Usually, but not always, a disproportionate number of discontinuations in the test drug group indicates more adverse events. We will likely need to wait for full data release for this type of info.
