Welcome to the hub and thanks for the post. The placebo event rate is only projected and not known. Additionally, event rate projections were based off of previous diabetic patients with recent ACS that did not have a low HDL requirement. The actual event rate may be lower. BETonMACE has a low HDL requirement. So there are too many unknowns to conclude that a longer period of time to accumulate the necessary MACE events is due to an apabetalone effect. We all hope so, but no guarantees.
