Was ASSURE powered for MACE?

Were pooled results from ASSURE and SUSTAIN powered for MACE?

The results for bempedoic acid are impressive in terms of lowering LDL but are certainly not impressive in MACE reduction given a long term study shows no MACE reduction vs placebo.

ESPR investors should be concerned that even a properly powered CVOT study will only reveal marginal MACE benefits from the addition of bempedoic acid and thus cause reimbursement issues for the drug.
