Yes, based upon estimates of accumulated patient years and info about event rates* (see Tundup's awesome post from June 21, 2018), we can come up with a good estimate of how many events have occurred. I made a few follow up clarifications in a reply to Tundup as well. It's a great thread to re-read. To me, all signs indicate that BETonMACE should have surpassed 125 events long ago (likely 2017) and I also expected BETonMACE to have turned the corner on 188 events by now. However, these projections do involve some assumptions that may be incorrect, and we don't know the lag time between event occurrence and the time it takes to officially adjudicate the event.
