To be honest, we don't have enough info to read too much into the tea leaves. To get the 8% average (8 events per 100 patient years), both groups could be 8%, or the split could be 9% vs. 7%, or 10% vs. 6%, or 11% vs. 5%, or 12% vs. 4%, etc. All would give an 8% average. BETonMACE average event rate seems to be on par with the EXAMINE trial, but as explained above we can't read into this without more info.
