GAC - Have thought about that plenty. What seems to be in our favor at the moment is that there is more nations with national health care systems that pay for the meds. These nations are carrying enormous amounts of debt and the public in those nations (ours included) don't want to pay more tax than they already do. I think where you are in Ontario Canada the top tax rate is about 53.5%. This is now in our favor, particularly in Europe where I believe every nation in the G8 there has a national health care system. In order to get costs under control for these nations we will start to see drugs that have the potential of apabetalone  with a NNT of 22 begin to be marketed. I think this is one of the big reasons that the EMA approval is so important to the company. With Obama Care in place it was very important to the US however with the current administration maybe not so much.

On the cancer side it is far to early to say we, RVX or Zenith have a cure. The expectation is that ZEN3694 could extend life by an additional 2 years plus or minus. We are a long way from that objective at this point in the testing but at 40 plus weeks now it's looking very interesting.

What attracted me to this story 11 years ago was exactly what you suggested. The potential of apabetalone to have a positive effect on 7 or 8 different diseases. My thought right now is that this little company was so far ahead of the curve that no one believed them. At that time they didn't have a good handle on the method of action. Now they do and it's given them/us a tremendous lead on the market of 6 to 8 years. Dart saw this years ago, Li Li had an awakening earlier this year. 

We are very close to primary readout on BoM at less than 12 months now, if positive this could be the best drug discovery in history. At least I'm hoping so for mankind and very selfish reasons as well.
