Good thinking tada....

I called my brother last night, he's a prof at a business school.  I'd told him about Resverlogix before and he quickly asked me what drove the recent increase, that's the first thing he asked me about.

I was calling to tell him about the fire at my house this week, nothing huge but its going to be annoying.  I'm living with an air scrubber upstairs and in the basement there's an industrial dehumidifier and an air pusher....at least that's what the contractor calls it.  There's a hole in one wall upstairs, (the fire started on the outside) and the house is going to need painting and new flooring.  Thankfully the only real content damage was to a lap top that was near the fire.  

Once we got back to talking about RVX he eventually asked me about my exit strategy.  That's his favorite topic, and he keeps me grounded.  People love to talk about how, when a stock goes down....they love to say they haven't lost any money unless they sell. 

Bro is constantly reminding me of the fact that the same rule applies when a stock goes up....you haven't made a dime until you turn the shares into cold hard cash.  And we were both raised by a man who preached the gospel of "never marrying a stock" and how "nobody ever went broke taking profits".

With that being said I reminded him of Amica and Regal, both of which were bought out at very healthy premiums.  Bro of course reminded me that both of those companies paid dividends to shareholders, something Resverlogix doesn't do....and even if they take Apabetalone to the finish line, its something that would be 2 or more years away.  

If RVX was trading millions of shares a day....then I'd probably be taking some money off the table.

The risk as I see it....and we've seen it too many times before.  We get a period like this of heightened interest, and then pffffffffft.....we go back to trading around 20K per day. 

All the ingredients are there to drive signficant buy side demand.....the ingredients have been there for years imo.  All we need now to is for someone or someones to take the ingredients and start cooking them, get the oven pre-heated and put them in the oven...not me, not a small retail player...we need a market chef.  

That's probably why I'm pumping out emails to anyone and everyone is biz media over this weekend.  I have no delusiions that my efforts will have much effect however, I'm basically farting into a hurricane....that's what the market storm is like as I see it.  If Resverlogix does get max exposure it will come from someting like AQXP's mention on CNN.  Still I do understand a little bit of chaos theory, and concepts like the butterfly effect...so maybe just maybe :-)

If nothing else I think my efforts are a minor annoyance to the real market players, the ones whose job it is to bring the herd storming in after a stock has made big gains, not before....and that puts a smile on my face.
