You are not far off with the Simpson's example. Teaser campaigns are alive and well because they work. But a teaser campaign would only be one of the options that brilliant communications specialists would consider in building the RVX (and Zenith) brands. As I stated a few years back RVX has and has had an incredible story to tell. Companies that build their brands can insulate themselves to some degree against being crushed by situations like the ASSURE trial results because brand building establishes reasonable expectations. Communications specialists would have asked RVX about the possiblle risks and built plans accordingly. At that time other posters suggested that building the brand and story was irrelevant. (Of course at that time we would not have had the benefit of the post hoc analysis). Well, look where Don has himself now........limited options it seems and no leverage on the share price side and no NASDAQ listing...hence no credibility in the USA market. The brand could have been built for NASDAQ investors. Don might have had leverage if only from a few hundred USA investors that could take a risk.

Water under the bridge but it makes a good point on how each of us view the prism though different angles.

Bear's post outlining the non linear event chain and his last paragraph would be the perfect briefing document for a brilliant creative communications team but of course these post hoc findings took time. Afterall, this is science.

Back when I was posting these communications and brand building ideas other posters said this would be too expensive. Not so. "If you could find a brilliant creative communications team" (lots exist) and paid them out of pocket expenses and 50,000 shares they would work their butts off! This could have been done at a university contest level. Just look at Sliicon Valley!

But that is history. Brand building is irrelevant now. The brand will be determined by events positive or negative. We know it's current value is about $1.35 Cdn.

Anything can happen now including moving financial (funding) targets. So for fun, let's assume Don has the ace in his hands but it is entirely contingent on the FA. The timing of the FA seems uncertain but delayed perhaps until Jan 2018 or later. I don't have any doubt that Don can keep the ship afloat until it happens.

If he has the ace will it be enough to get moving on the other trials? Everything is delayed at this stage. It's biotech and complex. Are the delays just money, regulatory or some other sort of issues?

After reading bear's post I am more pumped than ever. Just summing everthing up like that paints such an incredible picture.

To tada's post re innovation I happened to be reading about Copernicus this morning before I posted. So can you just imaging the reaction of the Roman Catholic Church when some mathematician, astronomer, etc told them that based on astronomical observations the earth is not the center of the universe? I'm sure some dude was burned at the stake by the Roman Catholic church for this but I saw no reference to this.

(by the way, as a silly aside, I urge you to go back before Copernicus, and look at the way astronomers were explaining the orbits of the planets. It was completely bizaar. Thank heavens for Copernicus (and the person 1200 years before him...and this says a lot about innovation acceptance) for his explanation and thanks to  Kepler and Newton).
