Putting all your eggs in one basket....

Obviously I don't have access to what is going on behind closed doors, I can only make judgments and form opinions based on the information that the company chooses to make available. But a thought did occur to me.
If I was an investment banker, a hedge fund manager, an investment professional running a Mutual Fund or any similar type individual....but if I had little knowledge of Resverlogix specifically or Epigenetics and Bromodomain Inhibitors in general...
If I was this type of industry professional and I was examining Resverlogix as a potential investment....what would my assessment be? Given the compay's abysmal track record on something as fundamental as simple communication, I don't believe it would be a positive one.
While I say its possible that guys like Clayton and Don might simply be incompetent, I don't genuinely believe that to be the case. Given their experience and backgrounds I find it difficult if not impossible to believe that they don't understand the importance of projecting a professional corporate image....which is why I get so bent out of shape over skipped investor conferences and publishing Power Points with the wrong information and missing slides.
But perhaps DM et al are so confident in the deals they're working on that they don't think they have to concern themselves with such mundane matters as making sure that when DM gets up to give a presentation in San Diego that the slide showing the debt figure is off by close to $50 million.
But what if the deal or deals being worked on, what if they don't come to fruition....and he has to engage in more dilutitive secondary offerings to keep the lights on? I think its reasonable to expect that if the company put forward a more professional image, that it could translate into a higher share price which would mitigate the amount of dilution....Better to be raising $10 million via a secondary with the PPS at say $5 or $10 rather than at less than $2....
Anyway it seems I'm the only one concerned with the lack of professionalism being demonstrated by the company....so I'll end my rantings for now.
