I wouldn't read anything into that comment by Dr. Wong from November 2016. From the 2016 perspective, only the futility analysis and full 2400 patient enrollment were expected to be complete in 2017. Now that US patients are approved for BETonMACE as of summer 2017, we're still waiting to hear how the protocol for BETonMACE will change. Perhaps Dr. Wong was referring to the futility analysis as data back in November 2016? In the very unlikely (but not impossible) scenario that the trial is stopped early (for better or for worse), we would likely see some "data."
