I do not know the in's and outs of investment banking or finance dealings, but would a company seeking financing via a Private placement or loan extention or debt financing need to be in blackout mode or does this possibly mean something more significant as the reason for blackout mode????,   I would imagine public companies are always continue to seek financing year round (those that need it) so I suspect theya re not always in blackout year round...  interesting...
