At this point, and at every point actually....the company's focus should be on advancing the science and on sucessfully bringing apabetalone to the market....whether on their own, via some liscensing or parternship deal, or by way of a buyout.  

Raising $$$ is part of that of course, and we know they just banked about $10 million CDN....which should see them through to at least August and probably a bit longer.  We all have August circled on our calendar's thanks to the Citibank loan....its the 28th if memory serves.  

Between now and then we'll hopefully get at least another positive DSMB update, and maybe a + Futility Analysis....either of which could provide the catalyst we've all been hoping/waiting for.  

Personally I am tempering that hope with the knowledge that....even if we get a thumbs up on the Futility Analysis....What's to stop short sellers from doubling or trippling down on their short position?  

This recent $10 million little band-aid.....it was followed by the short position increasing from 200+K to over 800K...about a 3 fold increase.  I think it was a gross over reaction....but it is what it is.  With a stock like RVX trading 20 or 30K on most days, that kind of selling is obviously going to have a tremendous negative impact....and there's no point crying over spilt milk.  Again...it is what it is.  Longs can buy all they want, and shorts can borrow all they want, (well not all...but a lot) and dump them back into the market.  

I would like to think that with a positive FA, that there will be a surge of buying to send the PPS higher forcing shorts to either cover...or if they've been buying up the warrants, to convert them into shares and cover off.  That's my hope....and its one I'll only get to see play out if we get the FA and its good.  

Anything that's iffy....like a suggestion that the trial is underpowered at 2,400 patients....that smells trouble to me as I could see shorts using it as an excuse to pile on.
