Good points.
I feel that Eastern and Hepalink coming in at those share ratios is a clear signal of their continued belief of the science of apabetalone, etc. Also, earlier in the year there was the (presumably) USA based private funding and from a previous presentation we saw that German based CD Ventures holds over 2% of RVX. So there are interesting things happening. It would be nice if we new more.
However, only $10 million was raised. If I understand the numbers correctly at a burn rate of $2 million per month this funding will only last 5 months. BETonMACE has 18 months to go. Plus there are other trials like CKD. This seems to imply another much bigger deal of some sort must be in the works to carry the trial through to completion.
I'm somewhat surprised that RVX is not receiving gov't grants for their great research.
Based on the posts it sounds like Don's presentation was a real let down...but this is not surprising to me. I still believe in the science and if apabetalone first passes BoM futility analysis (at which time the people selling currently might be disappointed) and then succeeds on 3 pt BoM it has the potential to be a blockbuster and things in terms of BP interest could start to move very quickly.
