Apabetalone/RVX-208 has been granted IND status for about ten years now, as this drug has been tested in humans for nearly a decade now. So I don't see how this latest renal related IND directly accelerates the approval process; however, in indirectly allows the human renal trials to proceed, which will be necessary of course for approval.
