Time for me to get my tinfoil hat on, there....nice and secure.  And now for some conspiratorial thoughts.

The age old philosophical (however that's spelled) question of:  "If a tree falls in the forest, and there's nobody around...Does it make a sound"?

Well here's another take on that.....If a companay puts out a filing, and nobody sees it....Does it have any effect?

Here we had yet another boring little trading day, all through the morning hardly any shares had changed hands.  If you draw the interday chart at tmxmoney.com the volume was so light it doesn't even register.  From about 9:46 until 1:20 the PPS was frozen at $2.14....It seems nobody here or on any other forum had noticed the SEDAR filing that was issued yesterday, apparently seen yesterday morning by plapper....if he/she hadn't signed up for an account here and posted it we might not have even realized there had been a filing at all even today.

We only get data for trades taking place on the main TSX, where stockwatch reports 33 trades taking place for the entire day.  The tmxmoney site gives us the last 25 trades....and 25 trades took place between 2:49 and the closing bell, leaving only 8 trades that took place before that.  Up until 1:40 there was very little trading and the PPS was stuck at that $2.14 mark....then at 2:42 1,000 shares traded according to the chart and the PPS dropped to $2.12 where it stayed until just after 3PM when the volume really picked up and the PPS kept dropping until settling at the closing price of $2.05....just a nickel north of the price in the filing.

Coincidence?  Of course that's very possible...But 28,000 shares traded today on the TSX and by my count just over 21,000 of that volume came between 2:49 PM and the closing bell...and going off the chart it appears that another three or four thousand traded after the post by plapper meaning about 24 or 25K of the total 28K trading on the main TSX happened after people (here at least) became aware of the filing.  

Its possible some knew of the filing before....but given how we disect every little tidbit in this forum and discuss every news item and article, I find that hard to believe.  

I smell a coordinated walk down.....but maybe the foil is too tight.
