That's a valid point Narmac.....the Wyckoff Method, as its described in the book and the article I linked, I speaks of operators working in concert with one another, not in competition. It also presupoes that those behind the manipulation, that they either know of something coming down the pipe that will allow them to sell at a much higher PPS....that or they will orchestrate things (hype and promotion) that its hoped will allow them to do the same.
Years ago I saw a movie with Russel Crowe and Albert Finney called "A Very Good Year".....it starts out with Russel Crowe who is a very successful Hedge Fund manager (but he's not the owner) who runs his own little trading floor and he refers to his traders as lab rats.....directing them when to buy and when to sell, and how. There's a rival firm, and Russel Crowe's character is able to best his rival by sending out false signals of when he's buying and selling....catching his competition flat footed.
That's why there are anonymous trades, and ice berg orders....and the ability of big players to push orders through various brokerages. If RVX is heading for a substantially higher valuation, and if there is a big money player who is highly confident of such a big move.....I doubt he is going to tip his hand, in fact I expect him to do everything to disguise his accumulation.
And let's say it happens, as many of us (including yourself I think) believe....and RVX does make it to $10 or $20+. Nobody is going to announce, "Man did I do a good job shaking that tree when the PPS was $1, $2, and $3...."
