Yes, it seems that RVX-208/apabetalone has many anti-inflammatory effects. However, RVX-208 was primarily selected based upon its ability to elevate levels of apoAI. It is very likely that Resverlogix (and Zenith) have many molecules that are more potent anti-inflammatory agents that may be more efficacious at combating particular inflammatory diseases, and others that are better geared towards autoimmune and oncology indications. However, RVX-208 is already in Phase 3......so it might be faster to get into Phase 2 and Phase 3 with RVX-208 for these indicaitons. But in the long run, it might be better to start fresh with a new compound in Phase 1 if it is more potent/selective for anti-inflammatory modulation.
