I completely agree that RVX needs to maintain and continually update its profile in the scientific community so as to hit the ground running if and when apabetalone is approved. At such time it will be physicians as well as key managers in healthcare/insurance who make the decisions which will heavily influence whether apabetalone is well received or not. Many of the scientists which they rely on are at these conferences. That being said unless deals are being discussed I'm not sure why Don, not being a scientist, needs to be in attendance. Perhaps his time could be better spent in Calgary or elsewhere attending to purely business matters. But that is just my opinion not knowing inside details.
Regarding the question of Boehringer participation. Yes Peter Johan was a senior member of the BI team but the other strong link is CD Venture, which owns roughly 3.5 million Rvx shares. Christoph Boehringer is one of the managing directors.
