Message: Paint The Picture
Bear, San Fran, thanks for the great posts. I think they fairly summarize where we are now from a PR perspective relative to where the science is at. I definitely think more could be done by RVX IR on the PR front in terms of getting the message out in a way that would be better received by the investing public. As of late some small steps have been taken such as touching on the market potential for apabetalone but I think it gets lost in all the science content of the presentations. This story will always hinge on successful science but, I think, one thing the company could do right now would be to have a section on the website devoted to identifying in greater depth the potential market opportunities in front of RVX. This could perhaps be on an individual indication basis and discussion could touch on market size, competitive landscape/product differentiation, potential market penetration, potential revenues, what this could potentially deliver to shareholders and how it would be delivered. I think a very meaningful section could be added to the website in this regard. As I said earlier the company has touched on this in the recent presentations but it is generally buried in the presentations and someone visiting the RVX website for the first time would have to look hard to find it. To me the opportunity for the investor should be front and centre and that could make them want to look a little further. Right now what is easy to find is that this is a phase 3 company that has never had a clear phase 2 success. It takes a lot more effort to drill down and see what has been learned from the trials and why currently there is so much opportunity in front of RVX. There is a lot of wait time in front of us, management has done a lot of talking but has been short on the doing side, we still don't have any top notch analyst coverage and RVX market cap is pathetic for a phase 3 company with huge market potential in front of it. Time for management to do a much better job at reaching investors. To steal from San Fran, if you have a great steak you don't hide the sizzle, if you are reaching for the stars you don't point your telescope at your feet. JMO
