15 or 20 years back...maybe even as few as 10, I wouldn't have touched a stock like RVX, certainly not now in light of the Stonegate and Zacks coverage. Back then I would have seen those buy recco's as nothing but a dinner bell ringing to call the herd to the table...I would have run the other way, expecting that those buying would end up holding the bag as the 'smart money' crowd sold off under the cover of the bullish excitement with the sheep piling in.

That was then....this is now.

Back in late 2014 and early in 2015...when RVX was under a buck, the prevailing sentiment was that the PPS was being supressed by manipulation. Then when it flew to $3....well, that was supposed to happen, in fact it should have kept going and going. Those who bought and held (my hand is up) patted ourselves on the back for our patience and fortitude...the promise land was in sight.

Of course we all know what happened after trading briefly over $3....down down down, throughout the summer and into the fall. THEY'RE HOLDING IT DOWN AGAIN!!! That was the retail refrain.

And now that we're back to $2....and if this continues over the coming weeks, we'll all be back to congratulating ourselves for not falling victim to the manipulation that held the PPS down for so long.

But what if its manipulation both ways?....Manipulation holding it back, and manipulation pushing it higher now. I for one don't think those paid analysts drove today's move....I suspect today's climb was the result of 'smart money' types dictating the action, and the action they decided to dictate was higher imo.

I used to believe....that my buying a stock could influence the movement of the PPS. "Hey, there's only 5 lots of the ask at $1.60...I'll take those out and maybe give us a nudge and get this train moving". I don't think so any more.....with dark pools and iceberg orders that I can't see, there's too much going on for one little retail player to have any impact at all.

If we move up next week and in the weeks to come...imo it will because the real players are taking us north.
