Pump and dumps are characterized by a big jump in volume, lots of news/hype/promotion bringing attention to the stock, and finally a PPS that's spiking to entice retailers and trigger their greed reflex.
Do you see anything of that sort going on now or in the past few months?
Now....if someone had speculated on RVX being a P&D in March...or even more so, in Arpri? Well...then I can see an argument supporting that opinion. In March/April volumes spiked up into the hundreds of thousands on a daily basis, DM was on BNN and then at the Richmond Club...and there was patent news and Zacks coverage on top of other news. And most importantly the PPS started spiking markedly higher....up over $3 briefly.
With all that being said...I have a general rule of thumb for P&Ds, something I look for. And that is at least 5, if not 10% or higher of the outstanding shares trading in a single day....if memory serves we only saw one day where volume hit just 1,000,000 or so.
If someone were to suggest that RVX was being pumped and dumped in March/April...I could see the argument having some merit, even if I view the volume as still being too light.
But now....or even over the past 2-3 months? Not even close.
