You've heard of the butterfly effect no doubt? The theory being that a butterfly somewhere in, say South America, it flutters its wings and the effect is almost nothing...an effentisamally small little brush of air goes forth. But as that brush of air travels it gains strength, affects and mixes with other little wind currents, and maybe in 5 or 10 years contributes to the creation of a hurricane or a typhoon.

Well...we may be witnessing the start of the >>Orphan Disease<< effect. I would bet that many people affected by PNH, plus their loved ones...I would bet that they frequently check for news updates on the disease, or have an alert set up on their emails. And as has been noted, with the potential for numerous other orphan indications...this might just be the start. Yeah volume was light Thursday...like the wind created by a butterfly flapping its wings. Who knows? Maybe we'll have enough butterflys flapping their wings about Apabetalone over the next serval weeks to start the perfect storm sometime in the months and years to come.
