Big thanks to chicago for posting Don's unexercised options....particularily those that just expired with a strike of $2.44 in June. Those 100,000 shares were in the money for a period of time in April and May.
Granted 100,000 is far from a HUGE number....in fact I imagine there are some particpants here who own that many and more. I'm going to assume that those shares were fully vested by the time RVX cleared the $2.44 strike....and every dime above that price would represent a a profit of $10,000.....
But every 10 cents on 100,000 is equivilant to $10,000....which is nothing to sneeze at, even for someone pulling in $500K a year. Had DM excercised and sold those options at $3 he would have netted around $50,000. Or he if he'd excercised and sold them even at around $2.70 that's still $25,000.
The fact that he didn't excercise and sell them.....I find that encouraging. By the time they expired in the middle of June of course the PPS had dropped below the $2.44 so they expired worthless. Don might have kicked himself for not taking action when they were in the money...but the fact he didn't tells me he honestly still felt that RVX was undervalued even at $3 or so and that he expected the PPS to climb even further. If he'd been expecting the erosion in the share price we've seen over the summer logic dictates he would have excercised his option and then sold them for a decent little profit. Bottom line, it says to me that DM is honest.....not always right, and not perfect by any stretch...but honest.
Now onto SF and his calls for more transparency....I'll echo his sentiments on a key point, the transfering back and forth of compounds between Zenith and Resverlogix. How does this not constitute a material event that warrants full disclosure??? These compounds, whatever they are, must have at least some value....even if its only speculative value, its still value. I believe transfering things of value between one non public company to a publicy traded company...it is incumbant up Don and Resverlogix to disclose specifically what these compounds are.
Great discussion here as always, enjoyed getting caught up.
