Hi Led, Koo and Chicago.
I guess my issue is not so much the $500,000 or a $1,000,000 or whatever amount. I think my issue is more related to the structure of the pay.
I'm thinking of Brascan back in the 1980's which was full of highly talented VPs and CEO (Trevor Eton/Jack Cockwell). They received low salaries relative to industry standards but the bonus levels were high and incentive based. They often made in the millions of $ but not if the objectives were not met including shareholder value.
I've said in the past that I wish I had achieved with my business what Don has done with RVX. He has been very successful IMO.
However, what I have noticed particularly since the Feb update is that Don will make statements that appear to be commitments which then wane. This makes investors and analysts wary because they can't feel with a high degree of certainty that Don will deliver against his promises!!! If he was held accountable to the board to meet these commitments OR he will not receive his bonus THEN he would have far more focus and hustle.
Don has had significant achievements to bring RVX to this point. They are now well financed, they are surrounded by very talented scientists and are on their way to phase lll BETonMACE. The science team is very strong. But perhaps Don needs some real help to deal with opportunities like a NASDAQ listing and other shareholder value issues.
The only other point or question is I wonder if it is now time to bring in a CEO and pay them $1,000,000 plus?
Anyway just my POV.
Cheers
