There's been some talk of Assure failing to meet its end points....and that its only because of post hoc analyis that we're moving forward now. Basically the message has been (at least by my read of the posts) is that if the end points had been different and more in tune with what the post hoc analysis revealed....that we'd be in much better shape vis a vis the PPS right now. I'm not looking to argue or discuss the point.....
It brought to mind something else...."Sticky or Post It Notes".
The adhesive on "Post It" notes was invented by a guy trying to create a "super strong" adhesive. I guess you could say he failed to meet his primary end point. And there are lots of hugely successful products out there that are the result of missed end points...even toys, like slinky.
