rocketman2, yes, can you imagine where the RVX share price would be if the deal had fallen through?

But the deal went through and this says allot about a number of things;

  1. The Shanghai-Shenzhen CS1300 index was 3,641 on Jan 5, 2015, 5354 on June 8, 2015 and 3663 on July 8, 2015 and yet there was no impact of on the deal and I would not have expected an impact in terms of approval because Hepalink is a profitable multi-billion dollar company doing business in many countries and it seems to be on the acquisition trail in the USA and other countries.
  2. For Hepalink for a relatively small investment of $35 million (USA) they gain the rights to a multi-billion dollar annual market in the Territories for many years.
  3. RVX gains milestone payments, product sales revenue, an ongoing royalty from Hepalink in the Territories, $50 million in funding for the trials, a trial partner, a scientific partner to complement the science at Eastern and NGN, a partner that has the drive to move forward with a high sense of urgency and commitment, etc.
  4. It also gains a potential acquisitor.
  5. Resverlogix also gains credibility for the epigenetic science and business potential of rvx-208.

It would have been a horrible disaster IMO if the deal had not gone through given that FDA approval has not yet been achieved.

I'm not an expert but I think that the BETonMACE phase lll trial approval in China and the other Territories has an extremely high probability of success OTHERWISE Hepalink would not have completed the deal with RVX. So now with the phase lll BETonMACE trial approval in the EU Resverlogix is able to move forward in phase lll mode.

Now as I understand it from the incredible notes taken by masila at the June 30 special meetings, Resverlogix is still in active discussions with the FDA for a phase lll BETonMACE trial and they may shift from endocrine and metabolic to cardio and renal. So, there is still some hope. I'm not an expert and have no idea what the odds are but we know they haven't given up with the FDA.

As a final thought, it occurs to me that the Hepalink deal provides some credibility to other potential regional partners at least so far as to get in the door and do their pitch. I like this momentum.

AND JUST FOR FUN

Ideal Dream World Wish

  1. That rvx-208 gets phase lll BETonMACE trial approval with their application to the CVD/diabetes/renal division of the FDA.
  2. That RVX gets listed on NASDAQ.

It's possible but how probable?????????? I sure don't know but it's nice to dream!

Cheers

Toinv :)
