RAINY RIVER ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF 2008 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

At Rainy River Resources Ltd.'s annual general meeting held on April 10, 2008, Stuart Averill, Nelson Baker, Leo Berezan, Dale Peniuk, Mark See and Gerald Shields were re-elected to the board of directors. The shareholders also reratified and approved the company's stock option plan and shareholder rights plan.

The company also announces that it has granted options to acquire a total of 100,000 common shares of the company to a director of the company at the exercise price of $4.12 per share for a period of five years.
