Message: Re: Chesapeake Puts Lofty Value on Utica Assets

I saw this yesterday but forgot to post, but thanks Zigi.

How interesting is this? I mean that is a massive valuation and I would assume that they make some conservative estimates as they're bound my securities laws etc so this isn't going to be far off or massive bs.

The difference with us is that we've actually seen big results with only a few wells drilled so far. This only comes down to time now, just waiting it out. We really can't do much other than that. Let the political noise cool down and yes the SEA is a complete joke. They sit around and drink coffee and discuss what? Nobody wants to drill just so they can have their tests loool. I am very confident that TLM will finish those two wells early next year though. I think the Quebec government realizes what a joke this study is, but they have political ambitions and don't want to ruin them, and I understand that.

This SEA won't be for fracking, but I think a good way to establish a top notch regulatory regime with requirements on what drillers need to follow etc. This is the perfect time to do it because it's a complete waste of time for them to talk about this stuff AFTER drilling get the go ahead.

With NY getting the go ahead soon, this just makes Quebec look that much more foolish. Don't be fooled by opposition parties either. They've been give a gift here with natural gas and God knows how much oil on those islands. They need to badly and I'm sure they're very aware that their debt rivals that of a country like Japan which is a complete disaster.

Let them do their "study" and then we can move forward from this nonsense.

I wonder if those US companies might make a play for our lands in the next few years...I suspect we could definitely see that seeing we own close to 400K net acres that belongs to just us. With a $4-5K offer for land we'd be sitting at some nice prices. We'll see what the future brings!

Enjoy the weekend all,

Rocco
