It seems to some of us foreigners this newpaper is very negative towards oil and gas industry in general and shale gas drilling in particular. Most of their comments are very biased, I think it looks a little like old fashioned propaganda.

Why is it so? Doesn't the newspaper want new industries and jobs, taxes, roylaties etc. This article is also repeating these allegations about leaks from shale gas wells in Quebec. http://www.montrealgazette.com/news/safety+baby+safety+when+drilling/4102903/story.html

One other thing is todays poll where Parti Quebecois i sin the lead with 36 % against 29 % for the liberal party. I understand this "french" related party is much more reluctant towards shale gas than the ruling party.

So the big question: when is the next election :)
