Hey Fog no problem! I have no doubt that any of us on this board could defend shale gas exceptionally well. I don't think we give ourselves enough credit on this board. We have all done so much research and continue to on a day to day basis by just helping each other by posting new articles etc. You said it perfectly...easier to follow the crowd then to break off and find out for yourself. Scare tactics do work on the majority that don't take the time to figure it out themselves. Taking that initiative can mean the difference between selling out at a market bottom or riding it out (as to my previous example).
