Moratorium idea has been put to sleep before...even in parliment. I've spoken many times to QEC management and they have said the government is in 100% support of this. Nathalie Normendeau (the natural resources minister) has repeaditly went out to visit the drilling sites with Talisman reps etc. The BAPE isn't to give the go ahead, but to present them on how to proceed with how to do this in a reponsible manner.

I for one am glad the BAPE went to many successful shale drilling states and saw the economic impacts and saw that it can be done safely. Just because it caused problems in some areas by incompetent companies, doesn't mean the entire industry should suffer. Mind you in NY, the aquifers that were polluted were because of very shallow horizontal drilling. The utica is super deep below, odds of anything happening are low. Frankly lets use common sense, this has been going on for almost a decade now...you think people in Texas and many other parts of the states would be in total chaos right now if the hundred thousands plus frac jobs were going wrong?

This will move forward...but done with high standards, which I support. I was listening to CEO of Talisman Mr. Manzoni who was talking about the new regulations to be placed in NY...and he said that they already drill their wells to the highest standards that would meet any regulations that will be coming out, so to them it's no big deal.

ps The share buy back date (in which they can start if they want) is tomorrow. Kind of sucks for management to buy back much higher than a few days ago LOL!
