Hey Sebastian,
First off, welcome to the board and thanks for your kind words! It's always nice to new members and pretty cool to have some from abroad like Sweden!
One thing you'll find about this board is that everyone that contributes does it in a respectful manner and I haven't learned as much about QEC anywhere as I have on this board over the years. Looking forward to having you join us with your insights.
Yeah it was a bit unfortunate, seeing that I could have gotten some this cheap for a while, but pay day was today and couldn't catch it in time at these levels...but you're right, anything can happen at anytime with this stock.
About 20 min ago I got a reply from Talisman in regards to Quebec. She said that she was personally involved in the BAPE and it was important in order to participate and have these meetings. Now that they are over, they are just waiting for the regulatory framework to move forward. She said they drilled 5 wells, fraced 2 and will frac 3 next spring. I don't know where this extra well is coming from!?...but nice nonetheless.
They of course can't give away too much in regards to the play, but they are very encouraged by the early results. Of course they know it will take 30-50 to prove it up and optimize and reduce costs for commercialization.
I personally can't think of anything else for lower levels...we've hit levels that barely value the Quebec acerage at anything. We've had some shorting, tax loss selling etc...most I could see is maybe some more tax loss selling...but frankly I think most people that wanted to sell probably already have.
I think most investors are just waiting on the sidelines for spring...but QEC always moves in anticipation of results/news...and so I think we might be creeping up slowly but surely over the next few months. The regulatory framework will give a nice boost. After that the wells and what TLM decides to do...in other words, what other drilling will be done.
There are others like Forest and Canbrium that will be fracing horizontals etc, and there partners are all jrs that will no doubt release the results (unlike Leclercville) so that could as well.
I think all of us here know how fast this stock can explode even in the short term. St Ed gapped up from $3.50 to $5.00 I believe...so things like this are not uncommon. I'm just in this for the long run, but doesn't mean we would have to wait 1 year to see old levels...it's such a high beta stock that one well does wonders...think about what the next 3 could do...or the next 50...and this wouldn't even be in commercial phase yet.
Again, welcome my friend and see you on the boards.
Rocco :)
