My response about GS was purely based on the quote from Nives message: "Goldman Sachs is the largest shareholder with 8.7 million shares, representing 3.97 percent of the company."

After your post about Sprott, I had a look at their site and it does look like they own or owned as of Jan. a large chuck of QEC as well. The lion's share seems to be in their main Canadian Equity fund and it says it's run by Eric Sprott himself. It was low on the top 10 list of holdings, but the fact it's even on that list in a fund that has a 1.4B MCap means they have a lot of shares.

I like Sprott as well, they're almost as devious as GS. :) Either way, we're in very good company on this stock.
