I got this back from Wblue who was nice enough to let me post his remarks:

"The Barnett Shale gas wells declines about 50% to 55% in the first year of production.

5 million cubic feet of initial production declines to about 2.5 million cubic feet after one year.

From initial production to 30 days you would expect about a 5% decline in the Barnett Shale gas well.

====================================...

The Gentilly well (Talisman - Utica) had 800 thousand cubic feet of initial production which did not decline over the first 30 days of production (0% decline).

The Questerre news release states at least one well had 4 million cubic feet per day of initial production. The first month's decline rate would be approximately 5%. If the well was completed properly then at the end of the first month you would expect 3.8 million cubic feet per day.

A slackwater frac requires about 1.5 million gallons of water to be injected into the well (look at Panterra - PAN news releases) if all the water is not pumped out then the gas flow is impeded."
