Cynical view but you are right. As soon as enough people start fueling at home they will eventually come up with an extra tax. The gov't hates people avoiding their taxes. But my guess is that will take some time. Thing to do is get in early and benefit before it becomes too common. Other than that it is just the convenience of fueling up at home that many people will appreciate.
