Message: Re: Post Conference market reaction?

Conference don't really do much, especially in a market like this. I think the gas price will definantely hold up better than oil has, and is doing so quite well. Think of it like this, if oil and gas are so low now, when inventory numbers start to come out for next year and they realize just how much oil production has been cut back, it'll put upward pressure for sure on prices...not to mention that once the economy recovers, it'll head upwards as well...inflation will hit imo and commodities will do quite well. The money on the side is VERY cautious. We have all seen how volatile the markets are and so have they, and at this point I'm betting that everyone is waiting to see the economy slowly recover before jumping in...but when the markets do go up, they'll really go up...since ppl all want a part of the action, it's part of the greed that drives markets. People who have pulled there money, what are they doing with it?? Odds are bonds, possible t-bills and interest accounts...so their returns are nothing compared to what the markets can offer...and when they smell a comeback, it'll be once big rush to get back in...and they'll soon forget what happened the past few months...just the way it is when it comes to greed and wanting higher gains.

On the plus side for us, a full production scenario is a year away, and prices are surely to be better than, so it really doesn't matter. The news was good imo. What did Mr Binnion say? That in shale gas, there isn't a single eurika! moment like conventional plays...its gathering information over time slowly and slowly and refining the drilling techniques...just as they did in the Barnett and many other shale plays....they're not all the same and each require the drilling to be tweaked a little as time goes on...Forest even said this in their presentation.

Results will be out, but TLM did sound very excited about Quebec and so have Forest. So just let them do what they have to do!:)
