Anyone have any thoughts on the price of crude and ng and forecasts?
I think personally, oil should be higher than current levels. Demand is still growing and an $80 oil price is reasonable, if not conservative. We will experience a slow down for a while, but if it gets too low, then we'll see opec start cutting production (which they'll do I would assume next month) and majors here cut production, which should decrease supply enough to see higher prices.
Same things for NG...gets too low, we'll see cut backs. Our economics are solid enough that we really don't have a worry. The prices we're around now are typically lowest we'll get for now before an increase. Winter is coming up and people need gas. Reserves may be higher, but they'll be used up and demand will shoot up along with prices. I saw some forecasts at around the $8-10 until next year. So we'll see, but most historical prices I've seen, October seems to be the lowest point for prices, then winter hits. NG has already taken a big enough hit. If it gets any lower, we'll see those shale plays far from NYMEX start to cut down production which would then start to add further increases to price imo.
Anyone have any thoughts on the matter? Love to hear them.
