Jean Francis Tardif was just on market call and took at question on qec.
The link will be on bnn later on...but his comments were basically that he owns many of the shale plays there, but the most of qec. He talked about the Lorraine shale that could potentially hold more than the utica and how qec could have 10tcf of recoverable gas.
He talked about Talismans spending of $130+million and that it shows that they believe strongly in the play. He mentioned at a recent road show or conference that they talked about that play a great deal so they are excited about it. Also mentioned about how before the gas was uneconomical, but with the advanced technology, he and tlm and forest believe it will make it economical.
I think we have seen how well the frac'ing technology works with barnett and even qec has shown it yesterday in their release...with rates being mulitiples higher using horizontal drilling and frac'ing. And lets not forget, talisman and forest are big time players with vast amounts of experience...and tlm even took the extra step and initiative to bring one of the top shale drillers in the business to help out.
