Even if they went to electrical heating of the furnaces , which they will not due to costs of electricity , even self generated they would not go to plasma torches
Plasma runs at 70% effeciency while resistance heating runs at 100% Resistance heaters have no consumable anodes/cathodes . Resistance heaters can provide any heat levels you need and provide more constant heat across the furnace . The CEO has clearly stated 275 K a year just in spares PER TORCH not including the torch itself.
Electricity will not be used in Pellet or cement furnaces and if ever tried it would not be plasma torches but resistance , likely a firebrick system.
Also resistance does not have the NOx problem .Acid rain is frowned upon.
There is a reason the CEO has repeatly ignored requests, including at the agm, for cost comparison of electric Plasma torches vs Gas hydrogen and bio oil. Electricity is not even in the running even if you make your own, Only 60% of Vales power in Brazil is self generated , only 12% in Canada
