Hello Sorrenson, if you look at the bottom of the press release you shared, VALE also says:

"In addition to using natural gas, the company seeks to develop other alternative sources." (For instance they mention biocarbon as something to experiment with.

VALE was not saying they rejected all pelletization methods in favor of natural gas. They were saying that, when it comes to burning fuel, they chose natural gas.
