Cleveland cliffs, a major iron ore producer, who bought us, AK STEEL, just told us to shut down our coke plant here in Middletown, OH. That decision has left one of our boiler houses with only natural gas to use in their boilers. Twenty years ago, it had 3 fuel sources. Fuel oil, coke gas and natural gas. We supposedly have a link to the CEO's office on our intraweb page so I sent an email to him about possibly using Pyrogenesis plasma torches as a way to cut costs and GHG emissions. It will be interesting to see if anything comes of it.
